If there's two things im not used to and trying to change is:
-Blogging
-Reading
Im seriously NOT a big fan of em' and i know that at least reading(other than study materials) is something i should do more often.
Before writing this i started reading some blogs i was "following" and they have so many post between the time i made my last post and this one and i was like FUck o.O How on earth they do that and keep a life heheheh... i have to say i was really busy these days... Finals and on top of that i had to play guitar on a show for my university and they moved it to the final's week( Great Huh -_-''!!!).
Even though i survived, had higher grades than expected and according to a lot of people, the show went great, the sound was amazing and so were the performers ...*.* Thanks :).... i had to stop CCNA Sec. studies for almost a week; quite a hard thing cuz im having a lot of fun with it... I never thought it would've be that much fun :D...*nerd*
Some of the topics i've covered so far:
-Role-based CLI
-SMTP
-SSH
-AAA
-Switch port security, DHCP snooping defense and so on...
-Securing IOS and configurations....
Right now im with the Zone-based IOS Firewall which is the focus of the CCNA Security i believe... So far i have about 30-35 sheets(front and back) filled with info of CCNA Sec. including diagrams and notes of attacks that i need to try on my labs (^,..,^) muahahaha...
Im on vacation so by the end of the week i'll be done with the CBT Nuggets, transcribe all my notes to OneNote; that's a program you might want to try out if you have Office, i like to call it THE SUPER Notebook ... and start my labs!!! (Finally you wont have to bore yourselfs to death listening about my life xD)
Cheers! time to study.

How it all Begins
So, this is how it all begins...
Realizing that i've wasted what??... 6-7 months of my life(with the crappy excuse that i'm a full time college student...yeah right -.-'' keep going...) until i finally decide to do something about this... Have my CCNA title since November 2010, something that made me really happy, even one of my teachers congratulate me in front of the whole class(ashamed like hell but, felt good), hoping that i could inspire some of my classmates and friends to start getting certifications and realize that a title of engineer is not that much of a big freaking thing; in my country this truth scales a whole new other level.
By that time i was starting my job in customer service in a company that sells networking equipment(mainly structured cabling but, active equipment too(routers,switches,etc...)). Even though i learned a lot, can't say i didn't... i thought my certificate was going down the hole and that in that particular job it was worth nothing, so why waste my time??? well... experience is reaaaally important and where i live it means 75-90% of the reason why someone would hire you...studies...not so much. So 10 months after i quit in order to continue my certifications. 7 months after that, i'm writing the first paragraph of what you're reading heehhehe.
What changed, well, after 3 failed plans of study , realizing that without my parents support i was nothing but a broke kid(ashamed-mama's boy if you'd like)... a chance that probably most of us have until certain point...So why don't we take advantage of it and bust our asses off like our parents did or like some of the most successful guys of this world did... prolly it does pop up into our mind but still, we do nothing... Well pals... THEY WERE DRIVEN BY DESPERATION, THE FEELING OF HAVING NO WHERE TO LIE OR NO ONE TO BACK THEM UP AND THE NECESSITY OF PROVING WRONG EVERYONE THAT LOOKED DOWN ON THEM... Guess what??? Negative feelings and situations can become a positive reinforcement in our lives and they could mean the difference between failure and success... if we look at it the right way of course, not if we try to choke on drugs or donuts.
I'm starting with some CBT Nuggets of 640-553(CCNA Security) to boost my mood of study(I'm not a sell out, neither focused on only one vendor, but i've learned a lot and there's way much more to learn from where this knowledge came).
To follow the path of IT you must know that you'll have to be studying from the day you realized you wanted this until the day you die, hopefully for me it'll be a lot of time, still young enough hehehe... There's a lot to give up and one simple thing to earn from it... SUCCESS.
Think a little about the picture attached and...
Cheers!, time to study.
